Super SSD, but the price of CHF 2290 is one zero too many. Digitec will certainly fix the mishap :-)
Of course.
incorrect price quotation
Yep ! Use the SSD without a heat sink!
Unfortunately, we currently have no information on when the item will be available and when we will be able to deliver it. As soon as something changes in this regard, we will post it here. Sorry.
Hello Elruuko, Digitec has written an article on the PS5 with M.2 SSD, you can find it here: https://www.digitec.ch/de/page/ps5-speichererweiterung-beta-update-bringt-m2-ssd-slot-zugriff-20700 You'll find all the relevant information there. Many greetings
requires a PCI Express connection!
Hi Lux_R, You never actually have the full storage capacity available. This is because a certain amount of space is always required for data on the storage medium. You will certainly find more details on the net about exactly what this unavailable storage space is used for. LG
I don't know if the M.2 fits on a Z590. The heat sinks are not mandatory, I left them out at first because they were hotter than without heat sinks (my mistake). In the meantime, I have it with a heat sink. It heats up quite quickly with heavy use, hence the cooling things, at least in my opinion.
Hello SeidelB, what should one do with this statement? Every consumer has to decide where to buy the product. I bought this article because it convinced me. I do not understand the meaning of the question or the statement. ! But in the end it is up to you to decide. Greetings
Hi, I didn't know there was a cashback.... and I haven't used it.
I use the Icy Box ext. M.2 NVMe enclosure IB-1816M-C3, external Usb-C data transfer from M.2 PCIe's, image clone, data backup (Timemachine) the thing can do everything and even supplies the right voltage for OS boot.
The P50 says: Up to 3 drives: 2 x 2.5" bays (one of which is suitable for 2 x M.2 SATA or 2 x PCIe drives). Raid 0, Raid 1 So it definitely fits. And if you don't have a RAID, you can install it as a second SSD. I assume you have a 2.5" SSD. But quickly check in the "Device Manager" how many drives are installed.
Samsung Electronics GmbH Hello, Thank you very much for your request. If the motherboard has an M.2 slot, you can use this SSD. However, to use the full performance of the SSD, the M.2 slot should have PCIe 4.0 with 4 lanes. If in doubt, please check directly with the device manufacturer. To find an alternative SSD for your motherboard, you can easily use the "SSD Configurator" on the Samsung homepage. With a few short questions and in just a few minutes, we will find the right SSD for you. To do this, please go directly to the Samsung homepage, place the mouse pointer over the category "Computer", which is listed in the upper part of the screen. Under the category "Recommended" you will find the "SSD Configurator", which you should select. Alternatively, you can find the "SSD Configurator" by simply entering "Samsung - Which SSD is right for me?" into a search engine. On the following pages you will be asked about your system and your personal requirements in order to find the right product for you. Kind regards from Schwalbach Your Samsung Service Team
Heatsink is needed
Yes, the memory would fit, but the full speed cannot be used. Since the motherboard only supports PCIe Gen 3. I would recommend you to buy a Z590 motherboard, or a Gen 3 SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus (1000GB, M.2 2280)
After specification you have about half the speed. In reality, however, you will not notice anything... In normal use, you won't notice any difference between SATA and PCIe 3.0 NVME. If you move a lot of data back and forth, then you might notice this, but then the second data carrier would usually be limiting. My opinion: If you are planning a hardware upgrade in the near future, buy this one, if not I would go for the 970 pro. Apart from that, do you really want to buy the pro version? From a purely user perspective, it's actually unnecessary. https://www.digitec.ch/Comparison/13823466-10339166
Do you mean something along these lines? Delock M.2 NVME to USB Enclosure Type-C (M.2 2230, M.2 2242, M.2 2260, M.2 2280) There are also PCIe expansion cards that offer additional M.2 slots.
