The Samsung 980 PRO NVMe™ M.2 SSD is compatible with the Sony PlayStation 5. To use an M.2 SSD with the PlayStation 5 console, Sony recommends effective heat dissipation with a cooling structure such as a heatsink. The SSD 980 PRO is not sold with a heatsink. This must be purchased separately from a third party manufacturer if required. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information.
Alternatively, we recommend the 980 PRO Heatsink NVMe™ M.2 SSD. The integrated heat sink ensures low system temperatures even under heavy workloads and thus a reliably high performance.
