Product details
The Venere family is characterized by a sloping top with an elegantly curved element of tempered glass, which, in keeping with the traditions of Sonus faber case construction, is derived from the lyre shape first used in Aida. The double curvature of the cabinet's lateral surfaces ensures enormous structural strength and perfect control of resonances, as does the frontal location of the reflex ports, elegantly veiled by the acoustic fabric. In addition, the aerodynamic housing shape at the rear simplifies integration into the listening room.
In good Sonus faber tradition, great attention has been paid to the management of the acoustic signal. This includes the use of bi-wiring terminals and a sophisticated design of the crossover, with an emphasis on the shortest possible signal path for absolutely authentic music reproduction. The drivers were designed and developed entirely by Sonus faber, with valuable input from Joseph Szall, a true luminary in the field of loudspeaker design and a permanent member of the Sonus faber laboratory technical team. In all models of the Venere series, the reproduction of the high frequency range is taken over by a 29 mm tweeter with a soft dome made of German DKM silk, which guarantees an unbelievable naturalness in radiation and detail reproduction. The mid and low frequencies are produced by drivers with free compression design baskets and a composite plastic curvature cone, which provide balance in sound and great speed and control.
The performance of the drivers is achieved through careful design and fine tuning, as well as the unique design of the front panel, which directs the sound waves in a targeted manner, contributing to the lively and involving sound. The inclination of the front baffle is optimized for perfect phase control.
