Helpful answer

Yes exactly, it does not need the internet to operate. The internet connection is required for updates, to control the mower remotely and for the theft protection feature.

is there a manual on mapping the work area?

Helpful answer

Yes, there is a manual on work area mapping for the Segway-Navimow lawnmower robot. The manual is available online and provides detailed instructions on how to create a work area map using the Navimow app. This process includes creating virtual boundaries and setting up off-limit zones, facilitating personalised and efficient mowing.

The robot lawnmower is not charged by solar power, but by a socket. The battery is charged via the charging station, which is connected to a socket. The charging station also sends satellite signals to the robot lawnmower to improve its positioning.

Helpful answer

The robot lawnmower can mow several separate lawn areas if they can be reached via a solid surface such as a slab floor. However, it must be able to navigate between the areas, which depends on the size and layout of the areas. The app control and multi-zone management make it possible to define and manage different mowing areas. It is important that the robot lawnmower has a clear view of the satellites and that the areas can be set up as separate zones via the app.

The robot needs good GPS reception where the charging station is, otherwise it won't set off. That will probably be difficult in the garage.

Helpful answer

The robotic lawnmower has a noise level of around 58 dB(A), which makes it quiet enough to run at night without causing a disturbance. It does not require any light sources for navigation as it navigates using RTK technology and a camera. As for animals such as hedgehogs or cats, the robot mower recognises obstacles via the camera and automatically avoids them to prevent collisions.

Probably not possible. Alexa and Google Assistant can be found under the Smart home tab. In addition, charging via solar power doesn't make much sense as the Robi doesn't have a huge battery reserve. Set the mowing times so that charging is required at 13.00. That's when you're most likely to have a surplus.

Helpful answer

The Segway Navimow i105E is installed without a boundary wire using EFLS 2.0 technology, which is based on GNSS signals. First, the charging station and the GNSS receiver are installed, both of which require a clear view of the sky to ensure a good satellite connection. The app is then used to control the lawn mower and create a virtual map of the lawn. To do this, the mower is guided once along the boundaries, similar to a remote-controlled trolley, to define the virtual boundary.

Everything is included. The aerial is not a satellite dish, but a small GPS aerial (about 12cm in diameter). The only thing that can be bought separately is the 'garage' that protects it from the rain. I've just received it, it's a relatively expensive accessory but very well made with quality materials.

Does it also mow independently in the rain?

Helpful answer

The robotic lawnmower can mow in the rain, but it has a rain sensor that can automatically interrupt mowing in unfavourable weather conditions. When the rain sensor is activated, the robotic lawnmower remains in the charging station during rain.

Hello, I've just installed a Navimow I105E robotic lawnmower and I'm very pleased with it. At home, I have two lawns opposite each other and separated by my house. There's no way of getting my robot from one lawn to the other. I have a main wifi connection that goes to the area of my current robotic mower connected to my mobile phone. For the other lawn I have a Devolo Wifi that goes via the electricity network with a different name and code. I would like to buy a new Navimow i105E robotic lawnmower and connect it to the Devolo wifi and create a new Navimow account on my tablet with a different email address. Is this possible? Thank you for your reply and congratulations on this robot. Best regards Laurent Bonvin

I have just bought the product. To access the GPS signal, not only the aerial but also the mower and its charging station must be in open areas. This means that if you want to ensure durability, you have to protect the charging area. Segway indicates that there is a protection that does not pose a problem for GPS waves. For the moment I haven't found it at Galaxus. In my opinion, it's much better to bring the mower inside in winter.

This variant is not described in the manual. But I could imagine that it works. What I'm wondering is what the mower does when it wants to go back. I could test this next week on Sat.

The two zones must not overlap, otherwise they will always be combined into one. You cannot split them up, you will have to re-map them for better or worse. However, this function of turning one zone into two should be possible in a future update.

Hello Flowmountain, the LED ring ALWAYS lights up, day and night, to indicate the reception status or operating status of the mower. What you can do, however, is activate a "night setting", then you have the option of having the LED light up "dimmed" or "extra dimmed" at night. You can't switch it off completely, but "extra" is already quite dark. You can access the menu in the app via Settings - Personalisation - Light settings. The sound can also be activated/deactivated here. In the operating instructions, the whole thing is described on pages 9 and 39, but the path has changed to the above. I hope I was able to help you, otherwise it's a great thing - "good mowing"! Greetings Wolfgang
