
With One UI 6: Android 14 for the Galaxy S23 series is ready

The first smartphones from Samsung will receive Android 14 and the One UI 6 user interface, with the Galaxy S23 series models being the first to benefit from the update.
Just under a month after Google Android 14 has been finalised and Samsung is distributing the new version of the operating system to the first smartphones. This is accompanied by the update to One UI 6.
Galaxy S23 makes the start
Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the release of Android 14 and One UI 6, but numerous reports from users leave no doubt that the final update is ready after several beta versions. There are corresponding reports from all European countries.
It is currently not known exactly when One UI 6 and therefore Android 14 will be released for other Samsung Galaxy devices. There is only a list of which models will receive the update.

How to install the update
If your S23 does not automatically offer you the update for installation, you can check whether it is available in the settings. There is a separate menu item for software updates in the settings. There you have to click on "Download and install" to start the search for the update.
These new features come with Android 14 and One UI 6
One UI 6 and Android 14 bring the following new features to Galaxy smartphones, among others
- New font and new icons
- New widgets for weather and camera
- Customisations for lock screen
- New design for quick settings and notifications
- More data in the weather app
- New emoji design
- New camera app
- Multitasking in the gallery app
