The benchmarks of the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT are here

The RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT come with the Navi 10 GPU and are manufactured using the 7nm process. The new RDNA architecture promises an increase in performance compared to its GCN predecessor. Reviews of the Founders Edition now show the effective increase in performance.
AmD would have liked to attack the RTX 2060 with the RX 5700 and the RTX 2070 from Nvidia with the RX 5700 XT. However, the Green Team beat AMD to the punch and redefined the requirements with the super versions of the RTX 2060 and RTX 2070.
So the RX 5700 is still competing against the RTX 2060. However, the RX 5700 XT now also has the RTX 2060 Super as a competitor. Before I summarise some of the reviews, here is an overview of the new Navi cards as presented by my colleague Martin Jud:
RX 5700 leaves the RTX 2060 behind
According to Bit-tech, the RX 5700 is on average ten per cent faster than the RTX 2060, and in certain games it is even up to 20 per cent. In terms of efficiency, however, the difference is less significant. On the other hand, reviewer Matthew Lambert points out that the RX 5700 is very loud compared to the RTX 2060. He recommends waiting until the first custom cards are available before making a purchase.
Computer Base comes to similar conclusions. The RX 5700 is nine per cent faster than the RTX 2060, but the RTX 2060 Super is four per cent more powerful than the RX 5700, according to the German portal. Computer Base points out the differences in efficiency compared to the predecessor architecture: The RX 5700 delivers almost twice as many FPS per watt as the Radeon RX Vega 64, and the RX 5700 is on par with the RTX 2060 in terms of efficiency. Finally, Computer Base points out that ray tracing support for RDNA is still missing for the time being.
Tom's Hardware comes to the conclusion that the Navi cards are the better choice than the RTX 2060 or RTX 2060 Super for those who can do without ray tracing. The card is perfect for playing games in 1440p resolution - if you can do without the highest details. Otherwise, the site recommends the RX 5700 XT.
RX 5700 XT beats the RTX 2060 Super
The RX 5700 XT is on average 9.9 per cent faster than the Super version of the RTX 2060, according to Tom's Hardware. However, the RX 5700 XT is inferior to the RTX 2070 Super: the Nvidia card delivers 6.9 per cent more performance, but it also costs more. Tom's Hardware particularly emphasises that the RX 5700 XT delivers only 3.8 per cent less FPS on average than the Radeon VII - currently AMD's fastest card, which costs a lot more.
According to Bit-tech, the RX 5700 XT has the best value for money in its category. The card runs best at 1440p with DirectX 12 and the Founders Edition design is the best AMD has ever offered. However, it cannot keep up with Nvidia's reference design in terms of noise and temperature. Bit-tech does not recommend the RX 5700. The RTX 2060 Super is just as fast with a manual overclock and is quieter, cooler and more efficient.
According to Computer Base, the RX 5700 XT is only seven per cent behind the Radeon VII in WQHD. In contrast to the Radeon RX Vega 64, the RX 5700 XT delivers 14 per cent more FPS with 90 watts less power consumption. However, the RX 5700 XT is inferior to the RTX 2070 Super: The latter is 10 per cent faster. Computer Base concludes that AMD has finally managed to be competitive again with Navi.
