MSI presents new gaming notebooks

MSI announced new gaming notebooks with 11th generation Intel Core H processors. The Content Creation Series will also receive an upgrade. An overview.

MSI introduces new gaming notebooks and promises up to 30 per cent more performance compared to its predecessors. Besides processors from the 11th Intel Core series, RTX 3080 graphics cards, PCIe 4.0, Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6 are also on board. The flagship of the new Content Creation series comes with a mini LED display.

The gaming notebooks

The GE76 and GE66 Raider notebooks are available with 11th generation Core i9 processors. The smaller model has an RTX 3070 laptop GPU, while the larger one even includes a RTX 3080 laptop GPU with full Total Graphics Power of 165 watts. The 17.3 or 15.6-inch displays offer up to 360 Hz with Full HD or 120 Hz with UHD.

Lighter and thinner notebooks come with GS76 Stealth and GS66 Stealth designations. In addition, it can be chosen between RTX 3060, 3070 or 3080. Processor configurations up to 11th generation Core i9 CPUs are possible. For the 17.3 or 15.6 panels, the selection ranges from 120 Hz in UHD to 360 Hz in Full HD, just like in the Raider notebooks.

The mid-range GP76 and GP66 Leopard offer up to 11th generation Core i7 processes. An RTX 3070 laptop is installed in the graphics card. The 17.3 or 15.6-inch displays range from 144 Hz with Full HD to 165 Hz with QHD.

The cheaper entry-level models Pulse GL76/66 and Sword 17/15 or Katana are available with processors up to Core i7 of the 11th generation. The selection of installed laptop graphics cards ranges from the GTX 1650 to the RTX 3060. Due to the weaker performance, the 17.3 or 15.6-inch displays are limited to a maximum of QHD with 165 Hz.

The Content Creation Series

The Creator 17 comes with a Mini LED display, which is said to offer HDR-1000 and 100 per cent DCI-P3 coverage. The 17-inch device has up to an 11th generation Core i9 processor installed and can optionally have either an RTX 3060, 3070 or 3080 in the laptop version.

The Creator Z16 and M16 come in a 16:10 format. The resolution of the 16-inch display is 2560 × 1600. The DCI-P3 colour space coverage is said to be 100 per cent. Core i7 processors of the 11th generation are installed. An RTX 3060 Laptop is installed in the Z version, and either an RTX 3050 Ti or RTX 3050 in the M version.

All notebooks support up to 64 GB of RAM.
