The right hardware for your workplace
by Zeynep Bekar
Purchasing new hardware is expensive. Here’s how you can optimise your procurement costs through leasing.
Companies can lease IT hardware from Digitec Galaxus – no matter the manufacturer. This way, leasing can offer your company maximum flexibility.
Pretty much right after buying a notebook or smartphone, the next line-up is presented. The market for IT hardware is ever-changing. Constant developments in processors and technologies mean that even recently acquired equipment is quickly no longer state of the art. However, buying an entire new fleet of notebooks for your company every few years makes no sense ecologically or economically. The lifespan of high-end notebooks is around seven years. However, we know from experience that most notebooks start to falter after a few years of intensive daily use at work. The lifespan of smartphones is even shorter despite their price tags being similarly high.
Therefore, leasing can prove an attractive alternative for companies. As a company, it’s beneficial to be familiar with the following types of expenditures: CapEx (capital expenditures) and OpEx (operational expenditures). Both types differ in method of payment and taxation. Leasing devices can reduce investments costs and help minimise the company’s risk at the same time.
You can lease your devices starting from CHF 2’500.– for 24, 36 or 48 months. Should you want to keep the equipment after the lease expires, you can purchase it for its residual value. Your devices will be factory reset upon return, ensuring data security at all times. If you wish to seamlessly replace your fleet with the latest devices, you can, of course, request a quote shortly before your lease expires.
In order for us to be able to provide you with a quote, your company must be registered in the commercial register for at least two years. If that’s the case, simply send us a request at leasing@digitecgalaxus.ch. If possible, please state the products you would like to lease. Please note that currently only products from the following categories are eligible for leasing:
