Game adaptations of films or series are usually a waste of time. However, the first 'Stranger Things' game surprised me in a positive way. It skilfully mixes a retro look with modern game elements and gave me warm nostalgic feelings from the NES days. However, "Stranger Things The Game" was also "only" a mobile game and the drop height was correspondingly low.

"Stranger Things 3 The Game", on the other hand, is available for PC and consoles and costs around 20 francs. It plays almost like a companion app to the current season. You experience similar supernatural adventures as the characters in the series. So if you haven't seen all the episodes yet, you shouldn't play too far. Speaking of characters: you can unlock twelve of them, from Eleven to Mike and Hopper. "Stranger Things 3 The Game" also has a co-op mode. We don't need to be told twice. As children of the eighties and fans of retro design, "Stranger Things 3 The Game" should be right up our street. Let's see if it's the exception that proves the rule or just another loveless money-making machine.
