Works great in bridge mode with PPP. Does anyone know how I can switch from bridge mode to routing mode with NAT and co? In bridge mode, the web interface does not appear at http 192 168 1 1 (which is somewhat logical, as bridge mode). I have Init7 / Copper 7 as provider if that plays a role.

Helpful answer

To reach the bridge if there is a router in between, you can create a static route to 192.168.1.1 via the WAN interface. This allows you to access the web interface of the bridge without connecting your computer directly to the bridge.

There is no routing and NAT on this bridge, as plisandro mentioned earlier.

Hi there,
Put a fixed IP on a PC like 192.168.1.22 and connect directly to it by disconnecting the DSL.
The password for the web interface is printed below.

What I have done in my case (runs as a pure bridge, FW behind it does PPPoE): Separate LAN ports into port groups.

Three-dash menu -> Network-Setting -> Interface Groouping.

* The default group contains LAN1, LAN2, and the two Brigde_ATM / Bridge_PTM.
* Create a new group (invent a name: "DSLBridge-Group" or something similar), and assign LAN1 and the two bridges to it.
* Default group will only contain LAN2 afterwards.
* connect the PPPoE speaker (router/FW) with its WAN interface to LAN1
* Make sure that your internal LAN behind your firewall/router is not addressed as 192.168.1.x.
* connect "something" to LAN2 (e.g. a port of your firewall - attention: not just like that, if it is an integrated switch port of the firewall - if it is, it needs a little more brain power)
* address the "something" from 192.168.1.x/24, e.g. 192.168.1.10.
* if necessary, add suitable FW rules for the communication InternalLAN -> 192.168.1.1, with SourceNAT (so that the bridge sees the incoming HTTP connection as if it came from 192.168.1.10)
* then 192.168.1.x should be reachable from your internal network.
* be annoyed that the bridge does not support SNMP.

It's a bridge - it doesn't support NAT at all :(

To access the GUI via Ethernet, establish a direct connection and configure your IP *manually* to 192.168.1.x and your netmask to 255.255.255.0; the GUI will then be available at 192.168.1.1.

Access with your public IP via one of the LAN connections or do a factory reset.
