Synology DS215j, Softbundle
What does soft bundle mean? The same Synology DS215j model is also available without a soft bundle. What is the difference to the model with soft bundle?
Softbundles are bundles that are put together by us. Here we sell the Synology NAS together ("bundled") with two hard disks from WD. Without the soft bundle (item 3454718), no hard disks are included in the scope of delivery.
In contrast, hardbundles are bundles made by the manufacturer itself. So if the manufacturer of the NAS sends it to us together with one or more hard disks, we call this a hard bundle.
The difference is important, for example, in the warranty procedure. If a hard disk in a soft bundle is defective, it can be sent in separately. In a hard bundle, this is usually not possible, but the entire bundle must be sent in.
