Question about Polar Vantage M

What does it look like in practice with pus measurement during swimming? Specifically: 1. does the heart rate measurement work reliably during swimming? 2. only with the watch on the arm? Or is the Polar H10 chest strap also necessary so that the heart rate measurement works (better) during swimming? Merci for any practical advice.
