Optimal settings against stringing problem? I have had the printer since this morning and am busy with test prints. The results are "ok" but far from perfect. The first problem was at the beginning with the "autolevelling" which is not really autolevelling but has to be optimised manually. I think I have solved this (at least I assume that the spacing is now correct). If the 1st layer is a whole surface, it is ok. But this is not the challenge for a 3D printer ;) For testing purposes I used the "First Layer Test Extreme" as a challenge: Surface with many holes (round, hexagonal). Here I am still optimising, as the result is simply far from good or perfect. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2616378/files (First_Layer_Extreme_Test.stl) As a general question: Do you both use S3D (Simplify3D) or Flashprint? I replaced Flashprint with S3D after the first test print because the possibilities for optimisation are very limited. I would also like to know what settings you use that you are satisfied with. Maybe I am comparing apples and oranges when I compare the tests for the CR10S Pro etc. with the Adventurer3. In any case, I don't really like the stringing on my first real prints (simple parts with holes for screws). Regarding stringing, I'm not talking about small fine threads that just go away but really thick pieces that go over several layers and thus have to be removed with a side cutter. A screw cannot be pierced through there. For your information: I am currently using the filament supplied (in case this is also the problem). Thanks in advance for the information.
Hi, ... Well, with the original Flashforge filament with Flashprint preset, I didn't have to adjust anything for great results.
I also use Flashprint for other manufacturers/material filaments, but of course in expert mode.
I find this mode has enough settings for my needs and the possibilities of this printer.
I do not know stringing problems in holes. If so, then only on the outside when several thin rods are printed next to each other.
Hello,
The default settings (Flashprint in Expert Mode) work fine for me too. No stringing.
I have already printed the Flashforge filament, other manufacturers and such difficult materials as Woodfil and Stonefil. With the latter, I set a little more flow.
