My Insta 360 one x2 was used for the first time this year while skiing. Unfortunately, when I got home I found that the camera kept changing the recording mode on its own. Now I unfortunately have a lot of video rubbish like time-lapse, slow-mo etc. instead of the 360 degree recordings I had hoped for. I didn't change anything in the menu and still the camera only saved about 3 out of 7 shots in 360 degrees. Does anyone else have this problem? It is very annoying as many videos are not usable.
I had mine repaired after 1 hour of recording (360°) and nothing worked... no recording, no sign of life, nothing (battery full, correctly inserted, etc...) Was replaced, then went to auction unpacked... It was the second (and last) Insta I ever bought...
I don't know the problem either, and I've really used my X2 a lot in the last few months. Since switching from one mode to the other is not a simple click, I would also guess that the cam has to be sent in for repair. Unless you use the underwater housing in the snow - then the switch is only made by pressing, which would explain your problem.
No, I do not have this problem. Mine is that the camera shuts down after 30 recordings. Check if you have the latest firmware - otherwise send it in for repair.
