I've had the monitor for a few days, but I'm already having some problems. After a Windows 10 update, my computer no longer recognised the monitor's keyboard, mouse or network (connected via USB-C, different cable to the one supplied, which is far too short). Interestingly, the Mac M1 no longer recognised anything at all (connected via TB4, again with a different high-quality cable as the one supplied is too short). After a bit of back and forth (restarting both computers, resetting the screen, disconnecting from the power supply and switching on again later), the keyboard and mouse now work on both computers. I also have a picture on the Mac (via TB4) and also on the Windows PC (display port). However, networking via the screen no longer works on either computer. My switch also reports that the screen is not plugged in, no lights are lit on either side. The cable is brand new (Cat6) and the switch is a 1Gbps Ubiquiti switch. The monitor has the latest firmware (checked with Dell Display Manager) Does anyone have experience with this problem?
I have now tried three of these monitors and they all had problems. The second monitor looked as if the front surface was delaminating from the rest, there were streaks everywhere. After a few attempts, I finally returned the monitor and got my money back. Too bad, because the picture was already very, very good.
In the meantime, I have exchanged the screen. With the new one, the LAN connection worked immediately and the screen was also recognised correctly by the Dell Display Manager. Sound still doesn't work, but what's worse is that the screen shows horizontal stripes in many places. You can always see them on homogeneous surfaces. Made aware of this by a Reddit article, I shone a lamp on the screen and lo and behold, everywhere it looks as if the front layer of the screen is separating/delaminating from the rest. Now I'm going to dismantle the screen again and take it back to digitec in the hope that the third screen will finally work. It's a shame, because I think the screen is otherwise really very good and the picture is great.
I've had the screen for a few days now and it's connected to a Mac Studio M2, a Windows-HP-Mini PC and a MacBook Air (Intel).
Unfortunately, I can't connect the MacBook Air via Thunderbolt... ok, maybe I should use an older cable? Gives a confusion of colours...
But it works fine via HDMI.
The Windows device worked without any problems via HDMI and I think also DVI?
The Mac Studio works via Thunderbolt 4, via HDMI etc... everything is fine...
Picture, sound... everything works...
The LAN connection also works fine...
the only thing that doesn't work properly is switching "sound up/down" via keyboard.... that always worked but I can only make sound louder on the screen via MAC (I have to look again, because I think it worked on the Windows pc...)...
that's strange... if it stays that way, the bose speakers will be attached again and not the dell speakers used... :-)
In the meantime, I just put the PC next to the screen, used the original cable from Dell and nothing helped. Then I did a Windows repair, updated the BIOS on the PC, finally completely reinstalled Windows 10 (the latest version) and it still doesn't work. Instead, when the PC starts up, it makes these "bings" as if it is constantly recognising new components, but no new components appear in the device manager. This can go on for an hour or so and then sometimes stops. So if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I probably won't be able to avoid contacting Dell support.
