Is it possible to disconnect the water cooling hoses on the card side and connect them to a separate water cooling circuit?
Why would they want to do that? There are cards that are prepared for their own circuit or buy a cheap 1080ti and screw a waterblock on it.
The hybrid from MSI has a closed loop with a pump on the GPU itself and a blower style fan that blows over the vrams and the memory modules.
So you could remove the pump with the hoses, but then you have no space on the card to put a waterblock on the GPU.
I recommend one of the following three options: 1. use the hybrid as intended. 2. buy an air cooled 1080ti and put a waterblock on it. Or 3. wait until a card like the Asus gtx 1080ti Poseidon is available which is normally air cooled but already has the connections for a circuit built in.
