I would like to connect my Wii U via HDMI and play Wii games like Super Smash Brow. Brawl, which has Dolby Pro Logic II for surround sound. This AVR is capable of decoding Dolby Pro Logic II so that you can hear surround sound from Wii games or it only supports more modern formats such as Dolby Atmos.

Select the "PURE" yellow button on the remote control and select "Auto". Then nothing is converted and you have the original sound format.
