Question about Dell P2419H

I want to connect the Dell monitor to a Macbook Pro. But the Dell monitor does not find any end device. The Mac also does not show an external monitor. There is a lot of talk on the internet about Macs having problems with this. It can't be the connectors as I have already tried two different ones. Who has had the same problem?

Also had problems with Displayport. I have two of these screens on my Macbook Pro. Then I bought two Delock USB-C -> HDMI cables and now it works perfectly. (https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s1/product/delock-usb-c-hdmi-kabel-1m-hdmi-usb-c-video-kabel-10867355)

Connecting a Macbook Pro via HDMI is no problem (works perfectly, recognises the external screen automatically when the connection is established, no configuration necessary). If it is a newer Macbook (no HDMI), a USB-C / HDMI adapter may be necessary.
