i have only recently realised that i have to set the 144hz refresh rate in windows and in "sreen resolution" -> "advanced settings" in the monitor tab. i have been using the monitor with only 60hz for a long time. i definitely noticed the change to 144hz. games are much smoother now. i can neither confirm nor verify whether the monitor effectively reaches 144hz. in any case, however, there is a clear difference to 60hz. games with high fps play much smoother.
