I have bought these fans but I have a question about the power supply, I would like to know if the cable supplied (not the one that must be connected to the motherboard) but the one to the power supply.
but the one to the power supply. Is the cable a male or female cable as it cannot fit into my power supply as all the ports on it are female and the cable itself is a female cable. How do I do this?

You need an additional cable directly from the power supply , Pci , 
I have the Corsair RM1000x SHIFT 80 PLUS it has enough connectors

You need to connect it to a pci-e cable from your psu. You cant directly connect it to the psu.
