I have a general question. Does a 4K monitor put more strain on the PC than a standard 1080x1920 pixel monitor? My PC is now 3 years old and therefore no longer up to date. I'm worried that the high resolution will have a negative impact on gaming. My PC has an intel i7 processor, 8 GB RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 750 graphics card. Thank you for your answer
Hello, Yes, a 4k monitor puts more strain on the PC, i.e. the graphics card, than an HD monitor. Just as an example, with the latest games you have about acceptable FPS with a GTX 1080ti at 4k and Ultra settings. With the i7 it depends on which one it is, there are definitely older models that are still sufficient today, such as the 4790k. 8 GB RAM is also rather scarce, but that shouldn't be such a problem.
I hope I was able to answer the question this way.
