I bought and installed the ceiling light. However, there is no serial number on the instruction leaflet or anywhere on the lamp. The lamp cannot be found using the standard search in the Hue app. The lamp cannot be reset using the dimmer switch. Are there any other options?
The serial number is on the side where the ceiling mount is.
Switch on the lamp using the wall switch (i.e. apply power).
Now press and hold the "I" and "0" simultaneously for 10 seconds using the remote control supplied, max. 15cm away from the lamp.
Then switch off the lamp at the wall switch, i.e. remove the power.
Wait 5 minutes, then switch on again using the switch.
In 60% of cases, the lamp is now recognised by the app.
There is a sticker with the serial number on the lamp itself. This can be used to search within the Hue app. The lamp is linked directly to the switch at the factory. To be able to use the switch with the Hue Bridge, it must first be reset.
