Phobya External power supply 230V on 4Pin Molex
70 W
How many 3.5" SATA hard drives can I use with it? I want to build a NAS with a development board (ROCKPro64). Since the board can only supply power to two disks, I need an external power supply for (at least) two more disks. The largest disks are 8TB WD Red. According to the specs, they consume 6.40 W. Could I now theoretically operate ten such disks with this power supply unit or what else do I have to consider? Same question for the 34W version.

Theoretically, yes. But you should take into account the loss of the converter etc., so better never go above 50% load on such a power supply. Just so you don't burn down the Christmas tree ;)
I once attached 10 fans with 2W each to the 34W version for fun, and it worked without any problems (it didn't get more than hand-warm).
