Question: what does "USB Type C Power Supply 65Watt" mean above in the specs? That I can supply the notebook with power via USB-C (Power Delivery) with an external power supply unit? Is a separate power supply with only 65 watts enough to power the device, when the original notebook power supply delivers 120 watts? LG
The 65 watt power supply included in the delivery will also be OK, but if you use a USB PC charger, you have to be careful. 65 Watt PD chargers are usually equipped with additional USB ports, so if you charge or connect two devices at the same time, the charging power is split. The Notebkook might then only get 47 watts. Therefore, it would be better to buy a charger that has more power. This charger was recommended to me. It is a bit bigger, but it produces 90 watts at the PD output. And for a second device, there are still 18 watts left over for charging.
Satechi Pro USB-C Desktop Charger (108 W, Power Delivery)
Thanks Stardustone for the quick answer.
So a 65 watt power supply is not included anywhere - it only referred to the designation "USB type C power supply 65 watts" ;-) - But yes, ultimately it's about finding a suitable PD charger. But I wasn't sure how many watts were needed.
Your device that you suggested gives me a good solid impression. But obviously the notebook wants 65 watts via this single USB-C/TB interface, doesn't it?
Do I get the full 90 watts in there now or does the Power Delivery on the notebook automatically regulate that it only draws a maximum of 65 watts from the Satechi Charger and then locks itself out? Otherwise it would probably burn up my notebook.
Thanks a lot for your effort.
