Question about Philips Hue Iris BT
Does there have to be a Bluetooth connection to the lamp to control it? I want to use the lamp to protect against burglary and would also like to be able to control it from outside the house via the app. Thank you very much!

The lamps do not have to be connected to the mobile phone via Bluetooth, but can be controlled from anywhere via the Hue App. The lamps only need to be connected to the WiFi network. Everything works even when you are out of the house.
You can only control them via the Hue app. But there is also the option of programming absence routines. Also from a distance.
But it is not made for outdoors! Only in dry indoor rooms! You can't connect it to the wifi either, either via the Bluetooth App of Hue or and even better, via the Hue Bridge.
