The actual tracking only works with the Xiaomi app "Mi Fit". This in turn requires its own account.
You can then connect the app itself to Google Fit to synchronise the data:
Mi Band -> Mi Fit App -> Google Fit
A direct sync Mi Band -> Google Fit is not possible.
