Question about Samsung DV80T6220LH/S5

Dear Community! Is this dryer a heat pump dryer that only works with a water tank? We have no way of installing the waste water hose. The technical data sheet states that installation with a waste water hose is strongly recommended. Has anyone installed the dryer without the waste water hose and only uses the dryer with the tank and can share their experiences? Thank you!
