Many thanks for the answers. According to Samsung support, it is possible to use the SSD under Linux without Portable or Magician, but the software is only available for Win, Mac and Android.
I'm pretty sure no, otherwise it would be noted. Try: buy a cheap USB stick and try it, if it works, there is a chance that it will also work with the Samsung T7.
I don't know exactly. In principle, however, the SSD (hardware) should be recognised by the Linux OS (without extra SW) - this also works with the Mac without installation. BackUp SW or other drivers must come from the OS.
