can i run 8 140 bequit fans through the controller because i already have the fans and the controller is still missing i need to control 24 fans in total for the water cooling can anyone help me ?
The question cannot be answered unambiguously. I recommend reading the manual for the PWM hub.
In principle, however, it should work, but the mainboard and the fans still have a certain influence. With the PWM hub you have a total output power of 30W for 8 fans (when connected without 12V supply), so 3.75W per fan.
Assuming you have be quiet! SilentWings 3 (power consumption 3.6W), this just about works.
For your application, however, you would need 3 fans.
So it depends on what your mainboard delivers.
But I would say that this works as long as the fans do not require too much power. Furthermore, I would consider whether it is necessary to control all 24 fans via PWM...
as far as i remember no pwm was possible, it only has 3 pins, so i used the 9x cable (phobya y-cable 4pin pwm to 9x 4pin pwm 60cm )e.g. at aquatunig with 6 * 90mm fans works fine. should also be no problem for the connection, otherwise there is the (phobya y-cable pwm 4pin molex 50cm) splitter where you can take the power via molex plug directly from the powersupply. since the 140mm certainly draw more power. whether digitec also has them in the assortment I have not looked. since cables here are always much more expensive than there :)
