hoi and yes, you can certainly save games or files to this disc (saving is not installing). But I wouldn't install games on it (installation of whatever on external discs is always problematic: speed is not as fast as on internal discs, USB may not work, etc.). For photos, films and backups, it's a good disc, but for games or programmes to install on it, I would be cautious and only do installations on the PC/notebook internal disc - simply put.
