The Zebra RS5100 is a robust Bluetooth ring scanner and is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed users. With its low weight of just 70 grams, it is extremely light and can be carried almost anywhere throughout the day. This makes it the perfect partner in the demanding work areas of warehousing, transport, logistics, manufacturing, sales and field service. The RS5100 is equipped with a 480 mAh replaceable battery that is fully charged and ready for use for up to 12 hours or up to 14,400 scans. For cold environments or longer shifts, Zebra offers an extended battery with 735 mAh. In addition to NFC, the ring scanner also has Bluetooth support. This means that it remains connected even at a distance of up to 90 metres from the host device. Thanks to the intelligent combination of imaging hardware, software and optics (PRZM) from Zebra and a powerful megapixel sensor, the RS5100 captures 1D and 2D barcodes as well as OCR reliably and quickly in almost any condition - whether damaged, dirty or poorly printed. A clear read confirmation is provided via a clear beep or several programmable LEDs on the back of the scanner, which also flash if required. An optional vibration function is also integrated. The ring scanner is also robust: it can withstand multiple drops from a height of up to 1.8 metres without any problems and is fully protected against the ingress of dust and water jets in accordance with its IP65 certification. In addition, the metal buckles and nylon straps do not stretch, which minimises wear and tear.
