The RE580D supports the new Wi-Fi standard IEEE802.11ac and achieves speeds of up to 1.9 Gbit/s thanks to dual-band technology: 1300 Mbit/s on 5 GHz and 600 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz. This makes the RE580D capable of meeting the highest demands, such as HD/4K video streaming, lag-free gaming, and large downloads.
The RE580D can use the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands separately to provide a single, super-fast connection. One band is used for the connection between the repeater and the Wi-Fi network, while the other is used between the repeater and the client device. This mode is particularly helpful for data-intensive applications like HD video streaming and online gaming.
