A hands-free option automatically starts and stops the data recording function. Multisport mode displays times in transition zones separately for consecutive activities.
Powered by GPS, the SiRFstarIII GPS technology does not require calibration. It calculates pace, speed, and distance in real time, measures and displays location, and shows altitude, ascent and descent, as well as ascent/descent rate. Records up to 100 locations on the go, which can be used to track and create routes. Recalls up to 50 customizable routes for pace tracking.
Connectivity and compatibility features allow easy setting of all user parameters via desktop software for upload and download. Battery charging occurs when connected to a USB port or via a power adapter. It is compatible with Windows XP or higher and Mac OS X 10.4 or higher. It works with Timex heart rate and bike sensors with ANT+ and is compatible with third-party cycling power meters via ANT+.
