Product details

The WireView GPU is a device for measuring the power consumption of graphics cards, developed in collaboration with Jon “elmor” Sandström. It connects to the PCIe power connectors of the graphics card and is linked to the power supply via the PCIe power cables. An OLED display shows the power consumption data. At the same time, the WireView GPU serves a cable management function, as its U-shape allows for optimized cable routing. The PCIe power cables are connected to the WireView GPU in such a way that they can be neatly routed over the backplate of the graphics card. This helps to avoid cable clutter when laying out the power cables and simplifies cable management. The WireView GPU enables the measurement of the power consumption of graphics cards and records this data to determine energy usage. This data can be used, among other things, to calculate the power costs of a graphics card or to compare power consumption with other graphics cards. A special measurement cycle of 60 seconds allows for quick and convenient display of power consumption, which is particularly useful for reviews. Additionally, the power consumption of graphics cards can be measured over a specific period or during certain applications. It can also identify power spikes in consumption that may occur during the operation of current high-end graphics cards.
