The Tascam CA-XLR2d is a two-channel microphone adapter and preamp that allows the use of high-quality external microphones to ensure stereo sound with DSLR and other cameras. The audio signal is transmitted directly to the camera—digitally or analog—and is recorded along with the video signal. This eliminates the need to separately sync audio and video in post-editing.

With two XLR/TRS inputs and one 3.5mm stereo mini-jack, it is possible to connect any dynamic or condenser microphones, including handheld, shotgun, and lavalier microphones, as well as receivers for wireless microphones.

The CA-XLR2d is powered directly by the camera, so no separate power supply is required. The CA-XLR2d-C is designed for Canon cameras.
