The ROBOTIS BIOLOID Premium Kit is based on DYNAMIXEL servomotors and associated control electronics, and it has been designed for children and students. Due to its modular structure, various robot variants can be built using the 18 included DYNAMIXEL servomotors.

In addition to numerous DYNAMIXEL servomotors, various sensor and accessory components are also available to equip the robot with artificial intelligence (AI). The data processing is handled by the ARM Cortex M3 microprocessor located in the ROBOTIS CM-530, which is based on a 32-bit architecture.
