Product details
The Theta S can capture high-resolution spherical images with up to 14 megapixels or create panorama videos in Full HD at 30 fps, with a maximum recording time of 25 minutes each. A larger image sensor and a powerful F2.0 lens provide better image quality, allowing more light through the Ricoh-developed optical system with an ultra-small double lens. Bulb mode allows you to capture panoramic still images in low-light conditions. Ricoh Theta S image processing technology ensures low image noise. The spherical images can be uploaded to Theta360, shared via Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, and posted on Google Maps, Google+, and the YouTube 360° channel. The Ricoh Theta S's application programming interface (API) is based on the Google-supported Open Spherical Camera API, which is compatible with Google services. With the launch of Ricoh Theta S, Google Maps unveiled a new app for Google Street View, allowing you to instantly publish spherical photos on Google Maps to share with people around the world. The app connects seamlessly to Theta and allows Google Street View to be used in a new dimension. An improved Wi-Fi module transfers data four times faster than the current Ricoh Theta model. In addition to configuring settings, the new Ricoh Theta S app also enables live view of spherical photos and videos, wirelessly on smartphones or tablets. With the new Theta S, video recordings can be processed directly with a smartphone or tablet. The Ricoh Theta S also has an updated design and a new user interface. User-friendliness has been enhanced by an elegant and non-slip black rubber coating and a front panel LED indicator. Storage capacity has increased to 8 GB.
