Zyxel LTE3301-PLUS
Zyxel LTE3301-PLUS
We had the router in use for just under a year with the standard antennas. However, just before the warranty expired, the antenna connections came loose and were no longer tight. The antennas were never unscrewed or moved. The router was well protected on the windowsill the whole time and was protected from direct sunlight by a cardboard box. Shortly after the connections became loose, one antenna failed completely. Now we have sent the router in under warranty because the received bandwidth has almost halved.

Works well with Swisscom, with Sunrise/Yallo/Lebara you have to switch off the 'Dos Protection Blocking'. (Security >> Firewall >> Dos) off. If this does not help, switch off the 'IPv4 Firewall' or set it to Low. (Security >> Firewall >> General).

I bought the router because I thought I could get a low-power NAS (USB can be used for an external hard drive).
If the device is permanently running (not the case for me because I switch off all transmitters at bedtime), it also works. If the device is switched off, the hard disk is not recognised each time during power-up (firmware version 3.3.2021, various drives tried). => Request to Zyx for bug removal.
In addition, there is the strange implementation of the network share names: The server does not make the disk available as expected under \\ServerAddress\YourChoosenShareName but under \\ServerAddress\(usb2_sda1)YourChoosenShareName (incl. the brackets in the path!) (cost me hours and kilos of nerves because there is nothing to be found in the manual).

I bought 2 of these devices and have used and tested them both with Sunrise and Salt, at 2 different locations.
With both devices, I kept having websites not loading (especially GMail, but also others), regardless of whether it was an Android or Windows client.
It took me a few months to understand that these pages only don't work when I surf via WLAN. If you are connected via Ethernet, everything works perfectly.
In other words, the WLAN is useless in practice.
I use one of the devices reliably, but I have switched off the WLAN on the Zyxel LTE3301-PLUS. (ASUS devices for WLAN are connected to this network).
I am now selling the other one, it has been replaced by the TP-Link Archer MR200, which has been running much better for a month.
The device works well as it should. Reception is good even indoors.
Setting up with Digitec Connect was very easy. Initial speed problems, which were quickly resolved by Digital Republic support.
So far everything is as it should be.
