Actually, the part is almost mandatory for the Yamaha stereo system, because otherwise the bass is missing.
It is a bit cumbersome that the device has to be switched on and off separately by hand and that it cannot be activated together with the stereo system. This is especially troublesome when it is in the corner.

The subwoover has no standby - it is always active and consumes approx. 5 watts. Definitely not up to date

Excellent subwoofer of very good quality.
I was afraid that the power was not good enough (100 W) but I was largely wrong! I set it to max. 50% of the power, otherwise it vibrates a bit much at the neighbours ;-)

Great sub for the living room. It takes up almost 1/4 cubic metre of space, but for good bass you need volume, so that's fine. The fact that it can't turn itself on or off is not a problem for me, but it's definitely worth mentioning since the switch is on the back of the cabinet.

My old subwoofer has unfortunately given up the ghost, which is why I started looking for a replacement in the price category +/- 200.-.
After studying dozens of test reports, I decided to buy the Yamaha NS-SW100
and I do not regret it.
Clean, rich bass.
Power is more than adequate for a rental apartment.
My old subwoofer had an auto switch, but you can live without one.
The only thing I really don't like is that it's a little big compared to my old sub, but that's just a matter of taste.
I can absolutely recommend the Yamaha NS-SW100.

This subwoofer achieves excellent performance for a "normal" sound system in the home. For me, it hangs on a surround system with 5 speakers - perfect.

It is necessary to have a big room for this subwoofer because it is very big
