If you want to use the smart functions, you have to consider:

Works great with Home Assistant
It's possible to set up a Bluetooth connection and have your weight reported in home assistant. It was pretty easy to set up and avoids the need to connect to the Xiaomi cloud services completely.

Does not do what a scale is supposed to do.
A scale has one function, to measure weight. However, this scale doesn't really do that. I can stand on the scale 3 times and each time it shows a different weight. Very disappointing, as I otherwise really like the Xiaomi household products. Unfortunately anything but smart.

Does its job well, readings seem to be accurate enough. Uses 3 AAA batteries you need to buy separately.

Scale is accurate and good. However, Bluetooth hardly works.
If in 9 out of 10 cases the weight is not entered, "Measure" must be selected, whereupon the entry is made and the weight suddenly corresponds exactly to that of the scale.
So it doesn't enter the weight automatically, it just does the typing for you. You still have to confirm it yourself.Pro
