Wifi 6 (802.11ax) basically works on both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands. However, the previous UniFi 6 line (lite and LR) only works on 5 GHz. Apparently because the "MediaTek MT7915" chip was installed. Clearer communication for the ottonormal consumer would have been helpful. After the endless waiting, this is now a bitter disappointment. The range of the 5GHz is minimal.

Probably rightly the UniFi products are considered top. The biggest advantage for me is the automatic setup of 2 or more acess points (in my case 1st and 2nd floor) in the house with the same WiFi SSID. Setting the channels for optimal handoff when moving from one AP to another is automatic.

Easy to set up and install, requires PoE (Power over Ethernet) and appropriate power supply if necessary. Works reliably and well so far.
small USG from Ubiquiti has no firewall, no poe, access point needs injector for power supply of access point, Dreammachine from Ubiquiti have no poe. Only Dreammachine Specialized has power supply with PoE. So an injector is needed, relatively costly. You need two network cables per injector. One for the network, the other for the power, i.e. occupy many sockets.

Good basic 6 model from Ubiquiti in NanoHD format (16cm diameter). Ubiquiti-typical administration via web interface very successful.

Overall, this is a relatively powerful yet compact Access Point. The only strange behavior was that when I first connected the Access Point to a Unifi POE switch, the switch rebooted. This happened only once, the rest has been a stable and satisfying experience.

I only use Ubiquiti products for my network at home and I am thrilled with the easy configuration.

Be careful when choosing the power solution for this product. It uses PoE V48 "AF" instead of V24.
