TP-Link Re450
1300 Mbit/s, 450 Mbit/s
Extremely cool, useful and fast repeater. This one actually increased the speed of my remotely placed notebook, which was transmitting the files 1Mb/s and now 100+ Mb/s. Costs 3 times less than power line, which only doubles the speed.

I have the Tp-Link AC RE450 in use with the following UPC router/WLAN https://www.upc.ch/de... (I think it's from Thomson) and it works perfectly. What's also great is that the Tp-Link boots up enormously fast - we always switch it off when we're not in the room where we need the range extension (pleonasm?). The installation was also very easy.

It does what it is supposed to do. Easy to set up and so far quite reliable. Managed to bridge a gap due to a staircase in the appartment without any trouble.
So far I did not have any issues (used it for ca. 3 months now). I don't have much reference when it comes to range (that's why I only give 4 stars), but the extension seems reasonable. Bitrate and stability are also satisfying. I think for the price this is a very good produkt. We will see how long-lived it is.
Note: I don't use the 5 GHz band because my router has trouble with this since our TV signal is on transmitted through the appartment on this frequ. as well. So I can't tell if it is stable there as well.

It's perfect! It really extends the network. With COVID-19 both my husband and I work from home and we often had problems with the network, plus the network did not reach the upper floor well, with this Extender we solved the problem. I recommend the purchase.

Works perfectly in my home, dead wifi spots on the last floor are now blazing fast wifi connection ! The extender is plugged now between the router and the dead zone which makes all my home totaly covered.
Could not be happier, great product and great price
ordered at noon and received the next morning !

The unit works perfectly. I had to do the set-up a few times before I grasped it.
Range: I plugged it into a wall socket, two rooms away, i.e. two walls in between, at about 12m distance from my Wi-Fi adapter. I haven't measured the speed, but watching YouTube videos over a wireless enhanced connection to a Blu-Ray player runs smoothly. The TV and Wi-Fi adapter are at opposite ends of the flat, the device about halfway.
Setup: there are two "Schell instructions". Can't figure out the first set of instructions. I'm a software engineer with quite a bit of hardware knowledge, and I had to try the procedure several times until I got it right. The second tutorial is a little better. I connected to the browser and configured the device manually instead of using the automatic connection, which is advertised but not described in the first manual. I first wanted to switch off the DHCP server, as my Wi-Fi adapter is supposed to distribute the IP addresses, but of course I couldn't make a connection with the browser afterwards. I had to do a reset and start again. I got the impression that once you set it up (enter Wi-Fi network names and passwords for the two volumes) and restarted, that it then only works as an extension and you can no longer connect to the browser on the admin console, although I can't say that definitively.
After setting it up, you can just unplug it and plug it in anywhere else.

I moved it upstairs as the signal was a bit poor as we have our modem/router in the garage/office. It was really easy to set up, everything just plugged in, and now the signal seems to connect better even downstairs with this than with the main router! We haven't noticed much difference in upload/download speeds either. Definitely recommended.
Excellent product, easy to deploy. The tricky part is finding the best location to cover the quiet areas, a mobile app (Thether) to download helps with this.

Simple installation ; Good range even over several floors with solid construction.
LED switch-off function optimal.
Even in the event of a router "failure" / restart, the connection is automatically re-established.

Replaced my old extender from Netgear, which unfortunately no longer worked with the new router.
I can recommend the TP Link without reservation, as the installation and set-up was very easy and the design is right. Works flawlessly so far and does what it should.

This repeater meets all my expectations. Very easy to install and manage, it allows me to have a single unified network (no more _ext) at home, all in 5ghz.
I highly recommend it.

really strong signal everywhere... ^^ before: 2Mbit, after: 215Mbit in the same place. Great extender!

It's like the Wizard of Oz would have taken control of this object and made some magic out of it. Very pleased, both as Repeater or Access Point. Also, the accompanying app is great.
Super simple installation with the Swisscom router, good amplification and very flexible thanks to the plug-in/out option.
Very good price-performance ratio and extensive setting options. The feature to switch off all flashing lights time-controlled or permanently is also great. Saves black insulating tape :)

Repeater is relatively easy to set up and offers acceptable transfer rates, but only in 2.4 GHz WLAN.
However, it is not able to connect to a 5GHz ac WLAN (ASUS RT-AC87U). It does provide a 5 GHz WLAN, but the connection to the router then becomes limiting. In addition, the transfer rates fluctuate a lot in the 5 GHz network.
For my purposes, this router is unusable.

I use as access point & it's perfect. For the bedroom with Ethernet I don't want another clunky router just a small self contained Access Point with its own power.

Can be switched off, easy to use and good app.
finally I can steal the WLAN of the neighbor reasonably

The placement is about 5-7 metres from the router but needs direct line of sight between the router and the repeater. If this is not possible and you have a wall, door or corner between router/repeater you have to go below 5 metres distance, which in my opinion defeats the purpose.... Under ideal conditions, this repeater is a good solution, but if you don't have a direct line of sight, I would tend to go for a more expensive/stronger model.
The app makes for easy installation and commissioning.
The repeater is larger than expected. If you have a 3-pin socket, you can't use the other 2 plugs.

good range, easy installation, after 5 minutes I had 2 new nets in the cellar
works great for my purposes. I can put my noisy NAS in the basement and have good reception.
I am surprised at the range. I need it on the job, glass and reinforced concrete are no problem and the LAN port is great for reaching remote switches.
Very easy to connect, almost self-explanatory.
Came out of the box and was working within minutes. It filled the deadzones and boosted speed in weak areas.
good repeater, 2.4 and 5 Ghz network
