is very good and uncomplicated.
I had much higher hopes
I decided to move away from my 11 years-old Garmin Nuvi 2495 and try out its competitor TomTom because both my Garmin navis had similar (hardware?) problems and sometimes froze or shutoff at random times. I must say that I am not impressed by this TomTom device so far, in terms of e.g. typing, displaying and customisation on a much newer device with a much larger screen. Especially I hate the following:
- The edge around the screen makes it difficult to access menu buttons in the corners
- The reported speed limits are not as accurate as with Garmin
- Cannot disable the Tom Tom soundtrack at startup
- Cannot customise the car icon and other graphic details
I instead like very much that one can synchronize routes and locations using the MyDrive application between computer and navigator. Finally I hope it will be more reliable that my two previous Garmin.Pro

Simple basic device without frills
Anyone who is at war with modern technology should buy this device as it is more than simple to use. Anyone expecting gadgets is wrong here.
