Quality well worth the cost
I have owned the DMX 6Fire USB for about ten years and find it excellent in every way.
There have been occasional driver problems with the release of new OS's but everything always works out in the end. I used the Win 8/8.1 driver on Win 10 for a while and it worked!Pro

Quality and workmanship are very good, especially if you are looking for something in the home recording sector.
The only problem is that the hardware does not work reliably under Windows 10. I have no problems on a Win 7 laptop, but under Win 10 I could not get the device to work on two computers in such a way that the audio inputs work properly or at all. A little research shows that many users have this problem, although there are also individual reports that this was without problems. The use as a pure external sound card worked for me in all cases, but the price seems too high to me - for most people, the money is better invested in better headphones / speakers.
There seems to be driver support in 2015 (which does not solve the Win 10 problem), but otherwise it is very thin when it comes to support.Pro

Mac OSX 10.11.1 Does not work!
Missing drivers for Mac OS X 10.11.1
According to official information as of Mac OS X 10.6.x / 10.7.x / 10.8.x and 10.10 (as of Nov.15).
Fact is, there is no suitable driver!
I bought the device at Digitec and have already contacted Terratec twice. No answer for almost four weeks! At least Digitec takes the device back, but that costs me 20%, in concrete terms I lose 52 francs without being able to do anything about it! I am disappointed with Terratec and Digitec. easy to install, crystal clear sound! in addition, individual sounds can be located better in the stereo image (compared to my old soundblaster live! 24bit). i also find the volume control for headphones very practical, as well as the preamplifier for the mic.
however, if you have several homepages open with java, it sometimes rattles, but only from 6 youtube windows... so it doesn't really bother.
very recommendable, for this sound you gladly pay 340.-! access!Used to be great. With Windows 10, don't buy until TerraTec has solved the driver problems.
Caution, Terratec DMX 6 Fire usually *does not* work with Windows 10.
