Had a LauraStar before, but this Tefal model makes a better impression on me!
Positive in comparison:
- Large water tank, which can easily be filled during ironing.
- Ironing is very fast, needs less pressure and has less frictional resistance.
- Automatic rewind mechanism for the power cable
- Quicker ready for use or shorter warm-up phase
Made of high quality plastic, I cannot yet estimate the longevity.
Prompt delivery by Galaxus the very next day!I have had a few ironing stations, this is by far the best!

Comparison with Philips Perfect Care Silence GC9540: I find this Tefal better because the temperature is higher. With the Philips, the temperature remains constant at 110 degrees, so the laundry always remains a little damp, it is never completely dry.
The only disadvantage is that the handpiece is a little heavier than the Philips......Pro

I also bought the DeLonghi ADS2800 ironing board together with the Tefal Pro Express Total GV8960.
This combination helps when doing housework together, as the "moving" works wonderfully thanks to the castors on the front supports. The weight of the dishwasher rests on the tray, which I hold in my hand, so that the combination can be moved comfortably to the next room.
These two parts fit together perfectly and replace the predecessor Philips ironing machine + the Laurastar. Both ironing systems have previously provided good service for many years, but nothing lasts forever.
So I hope that the combination Tefal GV8960 & DeLonghi ADS2800 will last more than 6 years again.Pro

Finally found what I was looking for!
After switching from my beloved, old and reliable Jura iron, which was getting on in years, I first bought a Philips iron, which was supposed to provide carefree ironing with only one setting for all fabrics. I was probably dazzled by the great features of the supplier, ordered the showpiece and had to find out that the iron could not provide the desired performance; it was weaker than the old Jura! Good for T-shirts, but clearly insufficient for shirts. After the company failed to provide a solution and I was left frustrated with the appliance...the search continued.
Long story short. The Tefal iron is a hit! You just have to know that you have to use the right water (i.e. the cheapest mineral water from Migros or Coop, which you can buy in 6 packs of 1.5 litres, should have the ideal composition according to Tefal Switzerland - so don't buy distilled water or use tap water!)
So far, I have used it this way and I am very satisfied.Pro

Thanks to this appliance, I only need about half the time to iron my shirts.
It's very easy to use and the results are just great. The appliance hardly needs any warm-up time and thanks to the rewinding device for the power cable, you can always stow it away nicely.Pro

I'm really pissed off!
Wanted to fill the appliance with water and the water ran out of the water tank. Water tank leaking. Afterwards, I realised that when I opened the box, it was very easy to open. The appliance was not protected in plastic but was packed in the box without any additional packaging. I can't shake off the suspicion that I was sold a return. This really pisses me off!!!!!!!!!! I assume that the postage for the return shipment will be covered.
