... who are so mac like, don't have a programme for the mac desktop.
people have been asking for it in the forums since october and are put off until the end of the year. :-/
this brings back unpleasant memories of drive's poor improvement for the devices, it took them over two years to even come close to the functionality of cloudstation.

Simply unusable
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend BeeDrive. The installation worked well and the first backup also went well. After restarting the computer, the mobile no longer connected and had to be removed from the BeeDrive system. After that, it was no longer possible to back up only the new pictures and I had to back up the complete pictures (11,000) again. Unfortunately, this also takes a few hours.
I contacted support and they didn't help either.Pro

Good, but not compatible with MacOS
Pretty good, however unusable on macos via the app no macos version available, I had to virtualise a Windows ARM VM on my mac to be able to use the drive and connect it to my iPhone, however the apple app is in "Coming soon" so it shouldn't be long, however clearly misleading description.

either I'm doing something wrong, or it's useless.
Completely useless for me.
The "computer backup" function is far too slow. It backs up an average of 5-10 files of my user folder per second. Since the programme recognises about 45,000 files, this takes far too long. With Acronis and the like, a data backup (of the complete PC including programme folders and settings!) takes about 10min.
In addition, the function "Transfer from mobile device" does not work. On the S21 FE, "BeeDrive was not found" appears, although laptop and smartphone are in the same WLAN network.

starts well, but if you interrupt it, the theatre starts. with a large amount of data, you want to take a break because the system doesn't work well in the background. if you restart it, it blocks - has happened to me twice now - annoying

I had not expected from Synology
Even after 16 support contacts, the drive cannot be used reliably. When it does work, it runs as you would expect from Synology. However, the support is a disaster and no longer responds.
