You can only put one downside, and that is that it doesn't work at all.
20 down the toilet. If I had the nerve, I would send it back.
Delivery and everything else worked flawlessly, of course, as always.

My advice: Save your time and nerves and order another product.
I bought the mini dock as a replacement for the big Nintendo docking station so that I don't always have to carry the whole huge thing with me when I want to play with friends out and about.
The first mini dock arrived quickly and lay around at room temperature for 1-2 days until I tested it briefly before packing it away. Luckily! Unfortunately, it didn't work at all, the Switch simply didn't go into TV mode, and that with the original charging and HDMI cable from Nintendo.
A defect can happen, so I reported it to Digitec and received a replacement very quickly. :)
Unfortunately, the replacement wasn't usable either. But all good things come in threes, right?
Now I'm sitting there with mini dock number 3, which doesn't work either with my old Switch or with the newer OLED Switch from my friends.
The mini-dock fails at the most basic requirement, which is powering the Switch. Without a power connection, you can't get the Switch into TV mode, and considering that the packaging of the mini-Dock says "COMPATIBLE WITH SWITCH" and that this is exactly why it is sold or bought, that's pretty weak. The above-mentioned room temperature is relevant, as it is written in the operating instructions that the mini-Dock should not be used at temperatures below 15°C. Now, in December, we haven't had a single day with temperatures above 10°C, and the post office doesn't heat letters or parcels... It's possible that the mini docks don't work because of this, but I personally can't imagine that a product has been manufactured so poorly that it can't even withstand temperature fluctuations during transport.
TL;DR:
The mini-dock can't power my Switch, so it won't go into TV mode at all. It may be that cold temperatures have broken it, but in that case the quality is subterranean low.

I wanted to save space during the holidays and was unfortunately very disappointed it was never recognised as a dock and no image transfer took place in any other way ☹️

Nintendo switch works fine on a regular screen.
Needs an HDMI cable and the original charger that needs to be plugged into the Steel Play.
