I really wanted this SSD to be it. It was cheap, had a good performance when it was first installed, and everything seemed to be going well. In total, I bought 4 of these. One of them failed within the first year (access delay was more often than not over a second, which made reading and writing operations EXTREMELY slow), a second one failed this month (it no longer showed up in the disks list), and it looks like a third one might be on its way to the grave because the read performance is all over the place (see image).
I will definitely stay away from this brand, and especially from this SSD model.

Upgraded a 2014 Dell notebook with it so I can run it for a few more years

The Ace A55 is great as an SSD for storing games.
However, I would not store important data on it without a backup.

It was a replacement for my external SDD case. Because USB sticks are just a pain despite USB 3.1 and co. If I want to watch the percentages climb as they used to, ok, but then I'd rather use a 2.5" and then it will work.
And so far the disk is tip-top. Crystal Disk certifies the expected transfer rates.
