Sennheiser HD 458BT
ANC, 30 h, Wireless
I was looking for something practical, easy to use and not too expensive, with if possible an OK sound. It suits me very well! (Those who are looking for the perfect sound may not be convinced, but it is really good for a neophyte like me). Covers ambient sounds well.

The experience with these headphones was mixed. The cushion openings seem too small, resulting in uncomfortable pressure on my ears. This can affect use over long periods of time.
The noise cancelling was not completely convincing. Compared to other products with stronger noise cancellation, this was not entirely satisfactory.
The operation of the headphones was also a hurdle. The control buttons appear small and fiddly, which makes handling difficult. The poor labelling of these buttons contributed to confusion and impaired intuitive operation.
As a long-time follower of the Sennheiser brand, I was surprised by these challenges. These headphones do not seem to be up to the usual level of quality. Ultimately, after considering the above points, I will probably not go for this model again.

For the first time, a pair of Sennheiser headphones disappointed me. I trusted the brand and let myself be dazzled by the pretty design.
WEARING COMFORT
The opening of the cushions is too small. It would be news to me that I have particularly large ears, but they are uncomfortably bumped in the hollow space of the headphones. Furthermore, the earpiece padding is too thin. After about 20 minutes, a painful pressure on the head became noticeable. I need the headphones for two or three hours at a time, which would not be possible with this product.
SOUND QUALITY
The sound image lacks three-dimensionality. In addition, the sound is flat, which I could not satisfactorily improve with the equaliser. I tested with rock, jazz and classical music.
NOISE CANCELLING
I tried out the noise cancelling in front of the TV during a football match. At first I thought I hadn't turned it on at all, but unfortunately it was activated. The commentator's voice was maybe 10 per cent quieter. Only the stadium noises were more or less gone.
OPERATION
Operating the small buttons and switches is difficult. The highlight was: I want to change the volume, press a button and "Re-Dialing" appears on the mobile phone display. A call was triggered to the last number dialled. This function is not mentioned in the instructions. That was the final straw: the headphones would be sent back.
