Sennheiser CX 400-II Precision
No noise cancelling, Cable
Great headphones, exactly what you would expect from Senheiser.
I had previously used the CX 300 for over 2 years without any wear (train to university, sports). Unfortunately, I lost the headphones along with my MP3 player. That's why I bought a replacement.
The workmanship of the CX 400 is top-notch, the scope of delivery with numerous rubber tips is exemplary (although the standard tips fit me best). In my subjective opinion, however, the bass performance has decreased somewhat compared to the CX 300. The guys from Senheiser should do better with the successor models! The cable noise mentioned by the previous commentators (when touching the cable) is unfortunately still present. Here, too, an improvement would be desirable.
Of the in-ear headphones I have used so far, however, they are still the best value for money.
The CX 400 II has been my daily companion for two years now and I am still almost completely satisfied; the most convincing features are
+sound quality
+carrying comfort
What could be improved are
- acoustic conductivity of the cable (to reduce this I recommend using the cable clip supplied)
- Insulation could also be better, but is ok
My CX 400 II broke at the bottom of the cable after about 6 months (broken in the bag); sent it in and Sennheiser replaced it without comment, no problems since.
I've had the headphones for about 2 days and have to say that the sound quality is 1A. Good accessories and the headphones look very smart. Price/performance is right.
I give up after 2 years and the fourth (!) replacement of the headphones with the brand. Is in daily use and does not make it, unfortunately unusable.
A very good product, once Sennheiser - only Sennheiser. Very good sound quality and shielding against other noises.
I've had them for about a month now. I only use them for sleeping or as a monitor set-up when streaming. They're brilliant for sleeping because they're so tiny and I can sleep on my side. The sound quality is amazingly good, especially for the price. They also seal out external noise quite well.

The only good thing about the headphones is the price. However, the noise during playback is really bad. Somewhat disappointed with Sennheiser, even though this is a "cheaper model".
Not recommended.

They have now accompanied me for three years while commuting, working and doing sports.
Unfortunately, one earpiece has now given up the ghost, which I think is perfectly ok after 3 years of intensive use.
Wearing comfort is good, but if you wear them for a really long time (>6h), they feel a bit tight.
The sound is really good and sufficient for good mp3 quality (192 kBit/s).
I can recommend the CX 400 II, top for the price.
However, replace them with the Sennheiser IE 60.
Top product, but the cable/plug and especially the unnecessary volume control are of the lowest quality. The volume control broke on me and now I have to replace the entire headphones.

Unfortunately, I bought these headphones without testing them. I had the Apple ones before, which I liked, but they are not loud enough for me. I use Powerbeats for sports. I bought the Sennheiser headphones because I've heard a lot of good things and they do cost a certain price.
After trying them on for 10 seconds, I'm going to sell them again. They sound really cheap. It's really a disaster. The Apple ones are a lot better and the Beats are even better. I have rarely been so disappointed in a product. Never again.

I like it

Top-class in-ear headphones with a wow effect. I am very enthusiastic.

Good headphones for little money, what bothers me a bit is that the connector is not straight but bent.
The sound quality of the headphones is brilliant. Bass is great and so is the sound.
But after a few months of use, I suddenly only had very quiet sound in one ear and I know that I'm not the only one.
I am absolutely thrilled with the headphones.
As a loaner, I am completely satisfied. Rich bass and super soundproofing. I can only recommend them at this price.
I don't feel the bass is strong at all - quite ok, but not strong. No matter whether on iPhone, PC (sound card) or laptop (sound chip).
I often ask myself what the reason is, the ear-ins from Sony Ericsson that came with the 810 mobile phone were much better, especially the bass could be felt much better than with the Sennheiser ones here (really deep bass wum, which you would never have thought possible with ear-ins). Since then I have never got my hands on such good ear-in again, I would pay 200 francs for such things (at that time they already cost 120-130 francs - on re-order in the mobile phone shop).
Nevertheless, 5 points here for the Sennheiser 400s, because the price/performance ratio is right.
Have had these headphones for over a week now and use them for my iPhone (equalizer = rock (for lots of bass and treble). I am very satisfied.
+ Good sound (nice midrange and treble, which I like a lot).
+ price / performance
+ lots of accessories (case simply SUPER)
(+ long cable - which I don't really need but which I also rate as positive)
+ shielding
- Movement audible on cable
- little bass
If I had to choose again, I would rather buy the Sennheiser with microphone and buttons, as these would be more suitable for the iPhone. But this is not a point of criticism, so 5 stars!
I've had the headphones for over a year now. Unfortunately, one earpiece has already broken. That was also the case with the CX 300. But otherwise:
+ good sound
+ price / performance
+ Accessories (especially the rubber attachments)
- Defective after 13 months
- Shielding partly bad. (Have to go far into my ear)
I was actually very satisfied with the earphones, but unfortunately they only last me a year. (Hurray for the guarantee^^)
- Good sound, suitable attachments for practically every ear shape.
- Especially the shielding against external noise is convincing for headphones in this price range.
- Not particularly robustly built or somehow particularly protected against the effects (noise, movement in the ear) by pulling on the cable.
I am very satisfied, even after months of use.
Good quality, good workmanship, many attachments, good price.
Addendum: This is now my third pair. Not because it's bad, but because I'm unlucky enough to have lost the headphones for the second time now while on holiday - and somehow they're still my very first choice.
have had them for 2 months now and am very satisfied...! no defects, even after a washing machine cycle! (left them in the pants and let them dry completely afterwards... still work as well as before).
+ good quality sound (good bass, "medium" treble)
+ included accessories
+ price / performance
(+ both cable lengths from split are the same length (left/right)
is a matter of taste, I prefer both to be the same length...)
+ good shielding against noise from outside
- Movements on the cable well audible...
Positive features outweigh...
Very good quality in-ear headphones.
Fat basses and nice mids.
The highs are a little too "shrill" for me, though.
Cable noise is not a problem at all!
Not quite worth your money
I have had these headphones for a few weeks and am actually disappointed. The workmanship is not very good: the cables are VERY thin and fragile, a part of the volume control fell off on the second day (without any force or similar).
The equipment is abundant, but mostly unusable: For example, a piece of rubber is enclosed in which you can 'feed' the headphones. I.e. you wrap them around this flat piece of rubber--> you can just as well wrap them around your MP3 player.
The sound is so-so. They deliver a (overemphasised) strong bass, but high tones sound too muffled.
Price/performance ratio is right. Top sound quality in all areas. A completely different music experience than, for example, with the famous white cheap headphones, there are worlds in between! The only thing I regret is that I didn't invest in decent headphones like these a long time ago. Especially when I see the quality you can get for this price and how I used to listen to music for years.... Well, I learned something again :) I use the headphones mainly with the HTC Desire and iPod Nano. On the HTC the sound is absolutely great, on the iPod Nano/Shuffle the quality of the earphones is unfortunately not quite as good, which is actually understandable, as the quality and setting options are known to be relatively modest.
Sucky good quality. Ambient noise is also shielded quite well, the accessories are also practical!
Bass and sound quality are great, 4 stars because you have to push the headphones deep into the ear and even then ambient noise is still audible. I now have headphones from Shure and with them you can hear practically nothing, even when listening to music quietly. But they are also more expensive.
But for the price they are certainly recommendable. In any case, they are much better than "normal" headphones.
